Sales figures point to a strong real estate market on Vancouver Island. Interest rates are low and there’s a good supply of favourably priced homes. That’s good news to anyone who is seriously considering home ownership.

Ideal home-buying conditions, such as those just mentioned, can place the potential home Buyer in a quandary when it comes to focussing on a range of ideal properties.

Where has the time gone!? I have had another busy, successful year, and I thank all of YOU, my past, present, (and future?!?) clients, for your business. It is working with you, and building relationships that makes a career in real estate so enjoyable and satisfying for me! As most of my business comes from friends, previous clients, and client referrals, I thank you for keeping me in mind when thinking of Real Estate in the Oceanside area! Rest assured that I am never too busy for referrals, and any referrals sent to me are well looked after and properly represented.

Our oldest, Gabrielle (27) lives in Victoria with her partner Steve Robertson, and his two children. We had the pleasure of having Reanna (almost 15) live (and work) in Qualicum Beach with us this summer for 6 weeks or so…took me back to a time when Steve and I were raising teenagers! Ethan (7) and their dog Toby came to visit several times over the summer as well which was always lots of fun at the beach! Our son Nico (25) spent the season protecting Vancouver Island fighting forest fires for the Coastal Forest Services again. He is now studying for his structural fire fighting certification, volunteers for the QB Fire Dept. and has found a chosen profession! My Steve continues with the Lodge while efficiently running our busy household, and keeps the I/T and accounting aspects of my business running smoothly. Zippy, our charming but bossy little Westie, actually runs the entire family!

Once again, I have made contributions throughout the year to various and assorted charities, both locally and globally, on behalf of my clients. I continue to support Ronaldo in Guatemala, a young man continuing to improve his education, as well as the local Hospice Society, the Tour de Rock, The Cops for Cancer, the Big Bike Ride for the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the MS Society (dear to my heart), and of course our local SOS and Salvation Army organizations. I am a big believer in shopping locally, and supporting our community both monetarily and by volunteer work. Better than me sending you a calendar I think…hope you do too!

My family and I wish you health, happiness and prosperity in 2012. It feels like a great year coming!

Welcome to my new website! It has been a work in progress and we will continue to “tweek” it over the next couple of days, but, in the meantime, I hope you like it. My name is Brenda Nicolls, a Realtor with Coast Realty Group in the Parksville, Qualicum Beach area of Vancouver Island. I am also a long term resident of this beautiful area. You will notice from the photos in the banner that we live in an ocean side area and enjoy lots of outdoor activities and the natural beauty of the mountains and ocean. If you live here or have visited here before, I am sure you will appreciate how lucky we are to make this place our home.
