Art & Photography at Milner Gardens July 19th, 2008 - July 20th, 2008 Art & Photography in the Gardens ~ July 19-20 ~ Milner Gardens & Woodland hosts this artist garden event providing an opportunity for visitors to come meet and mingle with local artists as they create pieces in the beauty of this artist’s garden. During the weekend the artists will be in the garden presenting visitors with the chance to discuss and observe their technique, as well as purchase original artwork, photographs, and art cards. “Speaker Series” workshops will be presented throughout the weekend by talented artists. Each artist, in the spirit of the festival, has donated a piece of artwork to the Silent Auctions which will take place over the course of the weekend. The first auction will end at 4 p.m. on Saturday, and on Sunday the auctions will close at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. To complete this creative experience, a medley of local musicians will perform each day at the pool house and on the grand lawn as you stroll through the garden. A bistro of food and refreshments will be available for purchase throughout the day. Join us for this weekend event of inspiration at this exquisite seaside garden estate from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, with the last entry to the garden at 4 p.m.. Weekend admission for this event is only $10 for adults and $6 for students, members and children are free. All proceeds from this event will go to support the continued operation of the garden and preserved woodland. Milner Gardens & Woodland is located at 2179 West Island Highway, Qualicum Beach.
